Escape to Everest: Vasta

Fun 'n Funky

After a seemingly long winter, the weather’s now starting to warm up which means that spring break is on its way. We here at Yik Yak are prepared to provide the soundtrack to your well-deserved time off. This week’s guest mix is by an up-and-coming producer, Vasta. Vasta is an American producer and DJ has recently emerged onto the scene with a string of remixes for artists like XYLØ, Jahkoy, Låpsley, and more. Vasta’s passion for underground dance music and an ear for harmony and melody give life to his signature sound: uplifting, deep, feel-good music that captivates dance floors just as it soothes solo listeners. Vasta’s Escape to Everest mix named “Boogie Boys in the Building” feels like someone opened a jar of sunshine. The driving bassline and funky melodies do not fail to get your head nodding, shoulders moving, and feet shuffling. The last track on this mix is his latest release on Soundcloud. The deep house remix of “Exchange” takes Bryson Tiller’s soulful vocals to another level. The fat synths and hard-hitting kicks on this track immediately transport you to a club. With tracks like these, we’re excited to see more of Vasta this year.
