Week In Review: Peek Feed Recap from October 16-18

For those living under rocks, or perhaps just not in the United States, the first Democratic Presidential Debate took place last Tuesday. It did not feature quite the fireworks of the two Republican debates, but then of course, that is likely because Donald Trump did not participate.

A big story gripping the sports community right now centers on Lamar Odom. Odom, the 6′10″ retired basketball player and 2-time NBA Champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, was found in a coma in Las Vegas and was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he now rests in a stable condition. It is clear that retirement from professional basketball has not been kind to Odom, who is also famous in different circles for his highly publicized marriage to Khloe Kardashian. Talking heads in the sports world criticized entertainment outlets for referring to Odom solely as a Kardashian tag-a-long, ignoring the athletic accomplishments for which he is far more deserving of being remembered.

Restaurants had a difficult few days this past week, as Subway once again found itself in a bit of a quagmire, and a Mexican restaurant launched a campaign involving the consumption of a massive burrito, a feat that should inspire no pride upon completion.

Let’s talk about Netflix. Now that the heat of summer and early fall is on its way out, it is important that we all adjust our habits. No longer can we Netflix & Chill; the weather will be too cold. We must now adopt the winter alternative: Netflix & Warm Up.

While on the subject of the silver screen, Leo made the news this past week. Because Leo makes the news every week. Because he’s Leo.

The music industry saw a few splashes this week, with big announcements from the Spice Girls and Taylor Swift. Taylor’s announcement that the world might need a break from her of course begs the question, if she’s the one dumping us who is her next song going to be about?

That just about covers all the bases for this past week on the peek feed. The feed just keeps getting better and better, and it’s all thanks to you guys! Keep up the great work.
