Over the past couple months, we’ve been testing photos in Yik Yak by letting a few communities add pics to their yaks. If you were one of the herds that got to play around with this exciting feature, we can’t thank you enough for your help. You provided a ton of feedback to help us learn what you like best about having photos in your yaks — and you gave us some great ideas for what future versions of this feature might look like!

Get ready… Yik Yak’s newest beta feature, My Herd, is coming! This feature will let you stay connected with your herd – even if you’re leaving campus for the weekend, taking a semester away to pursue that dream internship, or backpacking across Europe for the summer. Now you’ll be able to yak with your local herd, or switch over to your “My Herd” feed to keep on yakking with the people who understand you best in your herd back home.

How many conversations do you have on a daily basis? 25? 50? 100? Maybe you’ve never really thought about it, but all these conversations play a crucial part in our daily lives. Try to go one day without talking to another person, and you’re likely to start talking nonsense to a volleyball (Cast Away, anyone?).
