Ashraf, a Wellesley College employee who works at the campus snack stand, is beloved by students at the college. Fondly referred to as the ‘Leaky Beaker man’, Ashraf is known for being kind and positive, always asking students how they’re doing, and making those who visit his snack stand feel special and cared for. Yakkers at Wellesley are constantly giving shout-outs to Ashraf on Yik Yak.

SXSW 2016 descended on Austin last week featuring new films, interactive media, and jammin’ music. With crowds from across the world gathered in one central spot for the same purpose, locals and visitors alike took to Yik Yak to ask questions, find the best SXSW parties, and talk about celeb sightings.

Recently at Rutgers University, there were some very worried pet-owners after Twitch, a beloved cat of a Rutgers sophomore, went missing. Word spread through Yik Yak, and sightings of the cat filled their feed. The next day, Twitch was found and the Rutgers community collectively breathed a sigh of relief. 

Looking for a job can be tough. Dressing to impress, studying up on companies, and practicing interview questions is oftentimes a stressful experience, especially when you're new to job hunting and are feeling too overwhelmed to even know where to start. 

New York Fashion Week ends today, but before the glitz and the glamour come to a close, here's a look at what New York City had to say over the past week about #NYFW.
